Promoting an Extraordinary Education

When you think about high school, you probably don’t think about working in a graduate-level chemistry lab, studying glassblowing over an educational “J-Term,” or video calling an astronaut aboard the International Space Station. But at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics – NCSSM, for short – those are just the types of extraordinary experiences that are available to students.

Founded in 1980, NCSSM is a public residential high school that educates talented students from across the state. The school is tuition-free and serves 11th and 12th-graders from campuses in Durham and Morganton. With innovative academic programs and countless unique learning opportunities, NCSSM provides a world-class STEM education that makes an enormous impact on students’ lives.

Needless to say, we were thrilled when the school reached out to partner with us on a complete website overhaul. We started the process by identifying goals and must-haves through stakeholder interviews and a deep information architecture audit. Carrying those insights forward, we were proud to deliver a new website that serves as an engaging and user-friendly resource for students, parents, alumni, and educators.
