County Commissioner Unveils New Site
New Web site offers Wake County’s Joe Bryan a better way to reach constituents

Bryan, who was first elected to the county commission in 2002, has dedicated more than two decades to the residents of North Carolina’s second largest county.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who later received his Master of Business Administration from Central Michigan University, Bryan served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1980 before returning to Wake County, where he began working for Wachovia Securities, a job he retains today. In addition to living in Wake County, Bryan began interacting with its residents through serving on the town council of Knightdale and later through serving as the town’s mayor. As a commissioner, Bryan’s contributions have included work with the Human Services Board and the Land Use and Environment Committee. He became chair of the board of commissioners in 2005 and helped to encourage the addition of 1,000 new high-salary jobs to the county, as well as attracting $320 million in new investments.
Bryan’s new Web site serves as a springboard to both introduce new residents to his dedication to their home and to keep established residents updated on his work in bettering their communities and schools.
