New Site for Ciao Italia, America's Longest Running Cooking Show

New Media Campaigns recently launched a new website for America's longest running cooking show,  Ciao Italia.  New Media designed the site to put a strong focus on the episodes and the recipes created by the show's host, Mary Ann Esposito. 

The show recently digitized hundreds of past episodes and recipes, uploading them to YouTube.  We wanted to put this powerful content right up front and also provide robust search capabilities to help visitors quickly find valuable recipes.

The site is powered by HiFi CMS, taking advantage of its powerful API to catalogue the recipes, making them easy to update for the Ciao team, automatically pull in and style YouTube videos, and well organized for new site visitors.  Additionally, the show's team uses the system to manage multiple blogs on the site, giving Mary Ann the opportunity to interact with her viewers and provide insight and tips for recipes and cooking in general.

The new site's features, great content, and optimization for search engines made it an instant success for the organization.  In the month following the launch, the site experienced its most traffic ever and a 38% jump in traffic from the previous month.  Addtionally, the amount of pageviews by the average visitor doubled, as visitors spent more time interacting with the new content and videos.

The launch of the website also earned press attention in media throughout the country and a special video was created by Mary Ann and the Ciao Italia team to let viewers know about the launch of the new site.
