New Website Lets Visitors Vote on the Best Political Websites
Carrboro, NC - A new website launched at www.votethesite.com lets visitors vote on which candidates have the best website and then will let voters see how the votes correlate to the actual election results. The site lets you vote on every Congressional-level race in the country; it also allows visitors the capability to drill down to their home state and just place votes on that state. For example, a voter could pull up North Carolina and then vote on whether Kay Hagan or Elizabeth Dole has the better site.
The site was released less than twenty hours ago and has already recorded more than 4000 votes and been viewed by hundreds of people from across the world. After the election, the results will be tabulated and compared to the actual election results, in order to see if there is a strong correlation between the better website and election winner. Visitors can sign up on the homepage to receive the results after the election.
The site was built by New Media Campaigns, a Carrboro web design and marketing firm. The company took it on as a side project that the team developed in the evenings. The company works as a political web design firm with political races across the country, so they were very interested in building the new website and gathering the data.
The site has already been featured on Blogs around the state and the country, and New Media is encouraging people to check the site out and pass it along to their friends.
