NMC Addresses Specific Needs of MPO's new Website
New Media Campaigns recently added another governmental agency website to their résumé.
The Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is the regional transportation planning organization for the Jacksonville, North Carolina metropolitan area. JUMPO consists of representatives from the surrounding communities, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and area military bases.
JUMPO needed a website that would effectively communicate the happenings of the organization to those in the community. They needed a straighforward website from which residents could easily retrieve community information.
JUMPO chose NMC because of their extensive background in governmental website design. NMC was able to create a website that met JUMPO’s needs while creating a clean, lively design.
It was important to JUMPO that visitors would be able to quickly see the latest organization updates from any page of the site. NMC developed two ways to do this. First, the site now features a Public Announcements area on every page’s side bar, allowing visitors to see upcoming meetings and newsletters. Second, NMC built a calendar integration feature that pulls information directly from JUMPO’s Google Calendar, but maintains the styling of the rest of the site so as not to distract from the user experience.
The website's clean design is complimented by a wide range of pictures of Jacksonville's landscape that sit in the banner of each interior page.
NMC is happy to help governmental agencies with their continued development. NMC, located in Carrboro, NC, has developed over 500 websites including non-profits, political campaigns, and business.
