NMC Designs Colorful Site for Chef Lorena's Big Chef Little Chef

NMC has recently launched a site for a new organization called Big Chef Little Chef, started by Chef Lorena Garcia. Big Chef Little Chef aims to promote healthy eating and cooking through educational workshops and classes that are geared towards families. Chef Lorena Garcia began the organization after witnessing a great deal of childhood obesity, especially within the Hispanic community, and was prompted to take action. NMC has worked with Chef Garcia in the past, and was excited to create a new site for Big Chef Little Chef. NMC created a site that appeals to both adults and children for the family-focused organization.

Bright colors, intuitive quick-links and tools, and multimedia features define the site. Another standout feature on the site is a video display on the homepage that introduces visitors to the organization. The site provides information and recipes to parents and children, and presents it in a design that is easy to navigate. The recipes page, for example, provides detailed instructions along with photographs and symbols that indicate whether or not the recipes are gluten-free or vegetarian.

The main way Big Chef Little Chef educates children and families about healthy eating is through on-location cooking classes, events, and workshops. NMC made it simple for visitors to explore these events further. Dates of future classes and call-to-action buttons are posted on the homepage as well as interior pages so visitors may register on the spot when they see a class that catches their interest.

The NMC team enjoyed working with Chef Lorena Garcia again and is proud to launch a fun site for such a positive cause.
