NMC Designs Website for IFC, A Local Nonprofit
New Media Campaigns is excited to announce the launch of the website for the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service. IFC, a nonprofit based in Carrboro, NC, provides basic services, food and shelter to individuals in Carrboro and Chapel Hill. NMC built the site on the HiFi Content Management System, making it easy to edit and maintain.
NMC custom designed the nonprofit website to reflect the mission of the organization. The design is colorful and friendly, and features shades of green and purple. The homepage rotation includes images of local events, the IFC Community Kitchen, and individuals donating to the IFC Food Pantry. An image of a colorful mural at IFC is included on every page of the site.
There is a call to action area in the sidebar of every page of the site to encourage visitors to volunteer with and contribute to the organization. Increasing volunteer applications and online donations was a major goal for the new site so NMC made sure to highlight those areas in the new design.
A list of the organization’s services is included on every page of the site, as well. IFC wanted to highlight the organization’s transitional housing program, Community House. NMC created a page to share information about the development of the program, and the construction of the new facility. IFC also wanted to highlight client stories and experiences on the website, so NMC featured those stories in both the main navigation, and the sidebar.
NMC is proud to have been involved in creating this new site for IFC, and believes that the site will allow the organization to extend its reach in the local community.
