NMC Develops Website Promoting Agriculture in North Carolina

New Media Campaigns is excited to announce the launch of a new website for the North Carolina Animal Agriculture Coalition.  The new website is focused on promoting the role of agriculture in North Carolina and the important effects it has on the state's economy.  The Coalition is a group effort by the North Carolina Cattleman's Association, the North Carolina Cattlemen's Beef Council, the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation, the North Carolina Pork Council, the North Carolina Poultry Federation, and the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association.

The organization really wanted to highlight the benefits of animal and agriculture, so the homepage features a slideshow of people enjoying the industry and a rotation of facts about how the animal and agricultural activities support people around the state.  This homepage strategy helps instantly spark a connection between visitors and the organization, allowing them to understand the organization's efforts and encouraging them to dive into the site to learn more about the group.  Interior pages also feature "Did You Know" fact boxes to encourage visitors to dive deeper into the content and learn more about the organization.

Our friends at Liaison Design did the design for the site and turned to NMC as a web development partner for design agencies, enlisting our team to develop the site with accessible, standards-based code and to have it run on our Content Management System for designers, HiFi.  The CMS allows the NCAAC to have easy and full control of their content on the site.  This control allows the organization to quickly publish new reports on the industry, add interesting facts, feature different farmers' stories, and more.

In addition to the role the site plays in promoting the industry among the general public, it also contains a password protected area of the site for members of the coalition where they can easily access secure industry documents.

The Coalition is a group effort by the North Carolina Cattleman's Association, the North Carolina Cattlemen's Beef Council, the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation, the North Carolina Pork Council, the North Carolina Poultry Federation, and the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association.  We're excited to have helped them build this site and look forward to a continuing relationship with this important North Carolina effort.
