Joel Sutherland

Joel, an Omaha, NE native, is a partner and co-founder of NMC. He was drawn to North Carolina by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he attended as a Morehead Scholar and graduated with an honors degree in Computer Science. He co-founded NMC in 2006 while in school and has been a Tar Heel and NMC-er ever since.

At NMC, Joel not only leads the development team but also crafts technical, SEO, and web marketing strategies for some of our most significant projects. 

Joel lives in Carrboro, NC with his wife and three sons. He enjoys repairing bikes and still finds a way to play pick up basketball regularly. You'll often find him around town riding bikes with his family or coaching one of his kids' sports teams.
