Town of Fremont
The Town of Fremont needed a website to serve as a center of information for citizens and visitors alike. Working with one of our ad agency partners, Liaison Design Group, New Media was able to deliver a site that not only captures the beautiful, historic feel of Fremont, but also relays relevant town information.
The website features banner images on each page to highlight the Fremont area and give visitors a feel of the town. Various town departments have individual sections on the website so that visitors can find information quickly and easily. Using the vertical sidebar for the main site navigation allows us to expose a large number of options for visitors, ensuring they don't need to click too deep into the site to reach the information relevant to their needs. The design maintains this emphasis on ease of use throughout the entire design.
A highlight of the website, the economic development section shows visitors opportunities for industrial development, including site locations, information on reuse grants, as well as other incentives for outside businesses to move to the area. The ability to easily incorporate and manage the economic development activities of Fremont within their main site was a big advantage for the town, as there isn't enough economic development information to warrant a separate site, but it's still important to make it readily available to visitors and search engines.
The town of Fremont is able to update and add information easily through HiFi content management system. HiFi gives the town the freedom and flexibility they need to manage their content at any given time. This functionality allows the town to affordably manage and scale their site for the foreseeable future -- something that was very important to them.
New Media has worked with Liaison on more than 20 other sites through the team's joint economic development website design and development partnership and was excited to have the opportunity to partner with them again on the Town of Fremont website.
