Carolina Dentistry is a full service practice based out of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. From braces to dentures, providers are equipped to support patients through every stage of life. 

When the practice decided that it was time to refresh their site, they approached us with the goals of prioritizing patients and providing information in an uncomplicated way. Because none of the site’s editors are full-time web managers, it was also essential to create something that would be easy to manage and update over time.

Our work in higher education website design had allowed us to partner with UNC on several other successful projects, including the UNC Kenan-Flagler business school website design and development. For Carolina Dentistry, UNC Creative Services developed an engaging, attractive, and intuitive design. After the design portion of the project was finished, they turned their vision over to us so that our team could bring the site to life.

Putting Patients First

As a community-minded practice, Carolina Dentistry wanted to make sure that patients would be able to easily access important information and quickly book a visit online. Beginning on the homepage, the site emphasizes this straightforward approach. The homepage features clear options to book an appointment, learn more about specialty services, and find directions to the office. These elements are delineated by crisp color blocking, bold type, and high quality, relevant images. 

The site’s interior builds on these themes by adding helpful FAQ sections, bulleted lists, and buttons that direct visitors to the practice’s scheduling page. This makes it easy for potential patients to explore the practice and have their questions answered without leaving the comfort of home.

Optimizing Flexibility

Having worked on a number of other non-profit website designs, we understand the necessity for administrators to be able to quickly build new templates that promote offerings and direct visitors to important content.

Carolina Dentistry’s new site is built on a custom WordPress setup. The site consists of several blocks that can be arranged and used by the client as needed, allowing site administrators to add new services, update staff photos, and manage the site as the practice continues to grow and change. Even with the abundant flexibility that the site required, we were able to thrill the team at UNC Creative by exactly matching the designs that they provided.

Ongoing Growth

With the new site in place, Carolina Dentistry can elegantly display their practice and offerings on the web. The updated site will make it easy to grow their digital presence into the future.
