A Distinctive Site for an Experienced Solo Attorney

Located in Charlotte, NC, The Green Firm is a solo law firm operated by attorney Bonnie Keith Green. Bonnie leverages over 25 years of experience to develop sophisticated legal strategies for each of her firm’s clients. She regularly practices in areas including appellate litigation, motions practice, and trial consultation.

When it was time to refresh her firm’s digital presence, Bonnie came to us for a law firm website design that would clearly present her experience and services to prospective clients. The finished website accomplishes this goal with a detailed bio layout, dedicated practice area pages, and a refined design that reflects Bonnie’s professionalism and precise approach.

Establishing a Personal Brand

The site’s design was largely informed by Bonnie’s existing logo, which features modern typefaces and her signature green color. From that foundation, we added an elegant serif heading font, a light green accent color, and several subtle textures that incorporate some visual interest. Overall, the layouts are crisp and clean to avoid distracting from the site’s important content.

In addition to the website, we worked with Bonnie to design letterhead options that translate the polished look of the site into her offline work.

Solo Law Firm Website Features

In order to make the site effective and user-friendly, we incorporated many law firm website best practices throughout the design and build process. For a solo attorney in particular, that meant creating a clear nav structure, highlighting options for getting in touch, and prominently displaying practice areas in multiple locations on the site.

Other helpful features include a News & Insights feed and a streamlined bio layout with contact buttons and an expandable accordion section.

Building Momentum for the Future

In terms of behind-the-scenes management, Bonnie can maintain the site using the intuitive WordPress content management system. The CMS makes it easy to edit copy, replace images, add News posts, and more. And using the library of custom blocks that we developed for the site, Bonnie will be able to easily spin up new team bios or practice areas if she decides to grow her firm in the future.
