The new and expanding academic program needed an exciting website to share student experiences
Launched in 2006, the Phillips Ambassadors program awards UNC undergraduates a scholarship towards the cost of studying abroad in Asia and complete an academic program that consists of activities before, during, and after their trip. The program has seen huge success in its first few years and continues to expand on their initiative to expand student experience in a global context. In order to truly capture the experience of the students and program, the Phillips program approached New Media to design a new and exciting website.
After seeing our work on the Morehead-Cain Scholarship website, the Phillips program asked that we develop a similar site for them, one that puts the emphasis on the students and their stories. The reflection pieces students write after the completion of their trip became our inspiration and are showcased throughout the website.
The new website is the first for the Phillips Program outside of separate pages on the UNC Global site. This gives the program the flexibility to add more content and make changes whenever they want. As the program continues to grow New Media looks forward to seeing the website continue to expand their online presence and enhance their success.
