Case Study: Energy Ready Logo & Website

For almost every project we take on, balance is a word that comes up early and often. Organizations are balancing multiple target audiences, different design visions, feedback from various stakeholder groups…the list goes on. We do our best to find a middle ground in design and strategy that sets the right tone and addresses top tier business goals.

In some cases, creating a balanced approach takes the literal form of combining colors or design elements from existing brands to create a unified direction. That was the solution for Energy Ready, a new organization designed to encompass three clean energy designation programs: SolSmart, Charging Smart, and Distributed Wind Smart.

We partnered with Energy Ready on each piece of their identity, from finalizing their name to designing the logo, brand guide, supplementary assets, and website. With the theme of balance in mind, we pulled in elements from each program’s existing graphics to leverage familiarity and create room for distinct color coding and iconography. The resulting identity and website are cohesive and welcoming, encouraging target audiences to explore Energy Ready’s suite of programs and resources.
